   The 27th annual meeting of the AME will take place in beautiful Vancouver from October 25 to 28, 2001. This conference is being co-sponsored by the University of British Columbia (UBC) and Simon Fraser University (SFU).

   The meeting will be held at the state-of-the-art Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue located adjacent to the newly opened Delta Vancouver Suites, the conference hotel.

One of the world's outstanding collections of Pacific Northwest aboriginal artifacts, promoting understanding of and respect for world cultures. Admission: $7, students $4. Free on Tuesdays from 5 to 9 p.m.

Rose Garden
UBC Botanical Garden (6804 SW Marine Dr., 604.822.9666)
A fascinating garden with over 10,000 different trees, shrubs and flowers; one of Canada's oldest botanical gardens. Admission: $4.50, students $2.25.
Wreck Beach (take Beach Trail 6 at NW Marine Dr.)
Beautiful sunsets; clothing optional in summer.
