Conference Theme:
“Moving
Toward Moral Excellence”
The 27th annual meeting of the AME will take place in beautiful Vancouver from October 25 to 28, 2001. This conference is being co-sponsored by the University of British Columbia (UBC) and Simon Fraser University (SFU).
This year's meeting will be held at the state-of-the-art Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue, located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, minutes from the Harbour, historic Gastown, and trendy Yaletown (shops,
cafés, fine dining, nightlife). The Centre is directly connected
to the newly opened Delta Vancouver Suites, the conference hotel.
Vancouver, a city surrounded by water and mountains, has consistently been rated as one of North America’s most beautiful cities and the best place in the world to live. We invite you to visit this great city and have the time of your life.
KOHLBERG MEMORIAL LECTURE
It is a great privilege and pleasure to welcome Dr. Albert Bandura, David Starr Jordan Professor of Social Science in Psychology at Stanford University, who will present this year's Kohlberg Memorial Lecture on how moral engagement and disengagement operate in the exercise of moral agency.
