CONFERENCE REGISTRATION (online, by fax, or by mail)
Registration for the 27th Annual Conference of the AME is being processed by Conferences and Accommodation, University of British Columbia.
Please read the information on this page carefully before proceeding with your registration.
The preferred registration method is online. Online registration is convenient, fast, secure, and has been problem free. Please have a valid VISA, MasterCard, or American Express card ready when filling out the online registration form. A link to the online registration form can be found below.
If you prefer, you have the option of printing out the registration form and submitting it by fax or mail (see below for contact information).
REGISTRATION OPTIONS AND FEES
All amounts are shown in Canadian funds and payable in Canadian funds. We would like to remind our U.S. and international guests that $1.00 CAD equals approximately $0.60 USD. A registration fee of $400 Canadian thus equals only about $240 U.S. To obtain exact equivalents in other currencies at the current exchange rates, please use the Universal Currency Converter.
General ($440), Presenter ($420), Student ($400), and Student Presenter ($380) registration includes:
• a one-year membership in the Association for Moral Education with a one-year subscription to the Journal of Moral Education,
• attendance at all conference sessions,
• conference materials, and
• all catered functions (Thursday night Welcome Reception Dinner, Friday lunch, Friday night Banquet, Saturday lunch, and all refreshment breaks).
One-day registration ($180/$140 with/without AME dues; $140/$100 student with/without AME dues) includes:
• attendance at all that day’s sessions,
• conference materials, and
• that day's lunch and refreshment breaks (Note: Banquet tickets are not included in one-day registration; they may be available on site).
Note: One-day registration is available for Friday October 26, 2001 or Saturday October 27, 2001 only.
Companion registration ($190) includes:
• all catered functions (Thursday night Welcome Reception Dinner, Friday lunch, Friday night Banquet, Saturday lunch, and all refreshment breaks).
One-day companion registration ($140) includes:
• that day’s catered functions only (Note: Banquet tickets are not included in one-day registration; they may be available on site).
Pre-conference workshop registration ($180, $120 student) includes:
• attendance at one all-day pre-conference workshop (A, B, C, or D; see below) selected on your registration.
Note: Changes to workshop registration on site will not be permitted. You will only be allowed to attend the workshop you registered for. The workshops will run in parallel on Thursday October 25, 2001 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Student status: To qualify for the discounted rates, please bring proof of your student status (student ID) to the on-site registration desk.
PAYMENT OF FEES
Payment must be in Canadian funds payable to AME 2001 and must accompany your registration form. Payment may be made by:
• credit card (VISA, MasterCard, or American Express);
• cheque (drawn on a Canadian bank);
• international money order;
• bank draft;
• wire transfer (wire transfer in Canadian funds should be sent to AME 2001 Secretariat, Bank of Montreal, SUB Branch, 6138 Student Union Bldg., Vancouver, BC, V6T 1W5; bank account number is 08110 001 0000 059; attach a copy of the transaction to your registration form).
Please be sure to include your name and the conference name ("AME 2001") on all payments.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Registration fees, less $35.00 administration charge, will be refunded if cancellation is received in writing by October 1, 2001; after this date, registration fees are non-refundable. All refunds will be processed after the conference.
