This year's meeting will be held in the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort and Spa in Dana Point, California. [More]

Dana Point, directly on the Pacific shore, is approximately one half the way between Los Angeles and San Diego. The conference site, overlooking Dana Point Harbor, Doheny State Beach and the world-famous southern Orange County coastline, is located approximately 20 miles south (30 minutes by taxi, shuttle or one way car rental depending on the time of the day) from the John Wayne / Santa Ana Airport. Disneyland, Legoland, Knott’s Berry Farm, and a number of other Southern California attractions are a short drive away.

The Laguna Cliffs Marriott offers some of the most technologically advanced group facilities in California. Our 55,000 square feet of versatile meeting space includes the newly renovated Pacific Learning Center with tiered amphitheater seating and a sophisticated multimedia presentation system with phone capability and high-speed Internet access.

The conference will be hosted by the School of Education, Chapman University and chaired by Tom Wilson.

Founded in 1861, Chapman University is one of the oldest, most prestigious private universities in California. Originally called Hesperian College, the school later merged with California Christian College in Los Angeles. In 1934, the institution was renamed in honor of C.C. Chapman, an Orange County entrepreneur and benefactor of the school. The college moved to its current location in downtown Orange, Calif. in 1954. In 1991, the college again changed its name to Chapman University, reflecting its evolution into a comprehensive institution of higher learning.
