Please submit proposals for future AME conferences to the chair of the Future Planning Committee (FPC) Tobias Krettenauer, tkrettenauer@wlu.ca.  Our hope is to receive proposals approximately 3-5 years in advance of the conference. Proposals may be for the thematic program and/or for the site and local arrangements for upcoming conferences.

The FPC reviews proposals and makes recommendations to the AME President and Executive Board for approval. Upon approval, a Thematic Planning Committee and a Local Arrangements Committee is established. These may be one committee but the Local Arrangements Committee chair cannot chair both functions, is responsible for the conference budget, and serves as the conference coordinator.

Proposals must include name of chairs and members of each committee, proposed location, a 6 to 10-page description of the proposed conference theme, proposed list of plenary speakers (typically 4 speakers including KML and diversity speaker), proposed list of invited symposia participants (typically 2 symposia with a maximum of 3 speakers in each slot), and proposed budget that follows Policy Manual guidelines.

Further information about proposal format is available from the FPC chair or the AME President.
